Hi George,
Below are the names of Children whose parents are ready to enroll as of September 15th - some are children of teachers and others are from families that have requested to speak with Father Costas about tuition reduction.
These are our 'guinea pig' families that have agreed to sign their children up without any assurance of the quality of the curricullum nor the quality of its teachers and they deserve our thanks and consideration for their support of the program.
Margarita Michalas
Georgia Fotopoulos
Michael Fotopoulos
Kyriakos Psaromatis
Niki Psaromatis
|
Eleni Karageorge
Sebastian Haritos
Aristotelis Alexis
Son of Nick Panteleos
Most of these families are looking for full-time enrollment but their participation will depend on the tuition that they are able to afford.
There are other families who have stated to me that they want to enroll their children, but they will not sign up until the program is in operation and they've had a chance to come and observe it. I believe from the level of interest that another 4 children will be signed up by the end of the first School year Fall/Winter 2008. I have also spoken with many other parents who want to enroll in the Spring or Fall of 2009 to where I can state with confidence that we'll likely add another classroom for the Spring.
I look forward to your continued leadership and support of this worthwhile Ministry that offers the promise of great benefits to our Children and for our Church Community.
Thanks,
Tony

Good morning George,
can you try to swing by the Church and sign a check or see if Harry can do so today.
I'd like to ship the check to the Cordell Hull Visa agency for overnight shipment.
I will check with Mr. Vlachos in the afternoon but please let me know when it is ready for pick-up.
Thanks,
Tony

George,
we have Daphne and Mallamo responding that they will be there after Church.
Harry is out of town with his wife but Nick Panteleos will be there as well as Marilena - the proposed Director. I have not gotten hold of Dr. Banks yet.
Make some time after Church for us to meet as we should have 5 members of the Committee there.
Thanks,
Tony

Subject: Greek Teacher and the Visa Document
George,
this teacher is for real. She was assigned to Chicago and they do not have a spot for her.
I spoke with her and Father Costas has signed the attached Form requesting her for our School.
I have attached the entire document from Cordell Hull which explains the entire process.
We are close and I'd appreciate your help on this.
Call me 703.599.8608 if you can meet tonight or tomorrow so I can anwer your questions.
The only item remaining is the $600 check and our Invitation form to be mailed to Cordell Hull so they can mail the Visa docs to Greece.
Tony
